I wanted to create a children’s mobile game to help bring awareness towards amphibian extinction.
Around half of the amphibian are currently in decline due tonatural and man-made reasons, whole a third of the species are already threatened with extinction. This problem does not have as much coverage as itshould have and other animal species extinctions are taught to children but smaller creatures such as amphibians are not highlighted.
Therefore, I wanted to create a children mobile game that highlights these threats that amphibians face that can drive species to extinction.
I felt that variation of games and amphibians was crucial inorder to keep children engaged.
Rainforest rescue is a blend of popular game ‘Tamagotchi’ and minigames that are designed to bring awareness to the threats that amphibians encounter. The apps navigation is simple with large buttons as the age group I aimed this at was 5 to 10 years old meaning a smooth and easy experience is crucial to have them continue playing this game.
